**Director of Operations: Lead the Way to Excellence**

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to join our team at Shoreline Fruit. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of manufacturing operations across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the organization's manufacturing strategy and operational plans to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Operational Excellence: Direct, manage, and report on all manufacturing, maintenance, production planning, inventory management, and warehousing operations to ensure efficient and cost-effective production.
  • Team Management: Recruit, hire, develop, train, and direct managers and staff to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Quality, Human Resources, Finance, and Sales departments to ensure seamless integration and coordination of operational activities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement operational standards, KPIs, OEEs, and other metrics to drive process improvements and optimize performance.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including safety and environmental guidelines, to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field, plus five years' experience in food manufacturing or ten years' plant/general management experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proven track record of driving results, fostering an inclusive work environment, and demonstrating strong communication, collaboration, and change management skills.
  • Certifications and Training: Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification or higher is preferred.
Work Environment

This position will spend most of their time in manufacturing and food processing environments, with occasional work in a typical office environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to spend extended periods of time on your feet in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work in loud, busy, stressful environments for extended periods of time during plant operations.
