POSITION SUMMARY

We are in search of a skilled individual to join our Food and Beverage division. The Beverage Operations Supervisor will oversee the daily functions of the Bar Departments, which includes managing staffing and beverage procurement. A thorough understanding of compliance with policies and state liquor regulations is essential. The supervisor will ensure optimal staffing levels to enhance sales and provide outstanding guest service. Additionally, effective inventory management and product distribution are key responsibilities. This role involves collaborating with vendors to maximize purchasing profitability and working alongside other departments to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Foster a positive and engaging work atmosphere for team members while creating an enjoyable environment for guests.
  • Manage scheduling and task assignments, address staffing requirements, and maintain accurate HR and payroll documentation. Conduct annual evaluations, oversee employee timekeeping, and handle recruitment and hiring processes. Provide coaching, disciplinary actions, and termination when necessary.
  • Act as a working supervisor by dedicating time on the floor to support team operations as directed by the Food & Beverage Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

An Associate Degree in business or management is required, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience in food and beverage management, with a focus on Bar or Nightclub Management. A background in bartending, liquor inventory management, and guest services is essential. Knowledge of Michigan Liquor Control Commission regulations is required. Certification in Tips is mandatory within seven days of hire, and Tips Instructor certification must be obtained within six months. Serv Safe Certification is required within one year of employment.
