Position Title: Environmental Monitoring Specialist

Role Overview:

This position is focused on supporting the Parenteral Operations through comprehensive environmental assessments of classified manufacturing environments. The Environmental Monitoring Specialist will conduct utility sampling and analysis, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct environmental monitoring in classified manufacturing areas, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
  • Perform utility sampling and analysis to support both manufacturing and laboratory operations.
  • Assist in the training and development of QC-Microbiology personnel.
  • Engage in routine lab maintenance and manage laboratory inventory effectively.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of safety within the workplace.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related discipline; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Environmental Monitoring within a GMP Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment, particularly in aseptic production.

Skills: Proficiency in environmental monitoring techniques, including viable surface monitoring and air quality assessments. Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor junior staff are essential.

Physical Requirements: The role requires regular physical activity, including standing and walking for extended periods, as well as the ability to lift weights up to 25 pounds.

Additional Information: This position is primarily day shift, with the flexibility to adjust hours as necessary to support operational needs. Minimal travel may be required for training purposes.
