About the Role

Sodexo is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Financial Operations to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operational accounting functions within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Oversight: Manage and optimize day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivables, and internal controls.
  • Process Improvement: Develop, implement, and refine accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, working closely with operations teams to understand and explain monthly financial variances.
  • Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, conducting regular audits and internal reviews.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with financial planning and analysis teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models, monitoring and reporting on financial performance against targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations, procurement, and finance, to support business objectives and ensure alignment of accounting practices.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial information and insights to senior management and other stakeholders, providing recommendations for financial improvements and strategic decisions.
  • Technology Integration: Leverage accounting software and technology to streamline operations and improve data accuracy and accessibility.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4-7 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or director-level role, with experience in operational accounting and process improvement highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance, proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively, excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel skills, familiarity with ERP systems and financial management tools a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
