We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Executive Director of Pickleball Operations at Pickleland. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Growth: Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue streams through leagues, tournaments, corporate events, and other initiatives.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Hire, train, and manage a team of staff members, including front desk, team leads, coaches, and other personnel.
  • Operational Excellence: Create and implement operating manuals, standard operating procedures, and ensure adherence to company safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and facility maintenance.
  • Pickleball Activities: Oversee court scheduling, tournament planning, and event coordination, as well as develop open play scheduling and create facility rules.
  • Marketing and Sales: Build marketing strategies to attract new members, corporate events, and tournaments, and promote the facility to create win-win opportunities with other brands and organizations.
  • Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with members, addressing concerns and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Financial Management: Analyze financial reports, budgets, and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and cost optimization.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Business Acumen: Strong business skills, with the ability to make decisions and implement overall business goals.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a recreational or sports facility setting.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, sports management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Customer Service: Customer service-oriented and able to maintain positive relationships with members.
  • Pickleball Knowledge: Knowledge of pickleball rules, regulations, and industry trends, with a passion to continue to grow as a leader and a player.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Google Suite, Slack, and facility management software.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical Ability: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, capable of lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally, and capacity to work in a noisy environment.
