Job Summary:
CreditServe is a dynamic and fast-paced organization in the fintech industry, dedicated to providing innovative solutions and superior service to our clients. We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Director of Accounting to lead our accounting team and drive our financial reporting and compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Develop the Accounting Team: Effectively lead, mentor, and develop an accounting team to achieve high performance.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance, including handling intercompany transactions and charges in compliance with federal regulations.
- Accounting Policies and Procedures: Establish and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial transactions to ensure accurate revenue recognition and proper accounting period allocation.
- Collaboration with Finance Team: Collaborate with the finance team to investigate variances between actual results and budget/forecast.
- Financial Trend Reports: Manage, maintain, and develop financial trend reports.
- Accounting Procedures: Document accounting procedures to ensure business continuity and compliance.
- General Accounting Tasks: Support other general accounting and financial management tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience: 4+ years of comprehensive experience in accounting.
- Track Record: Proven track record of managing general ledger and sub-ledgers.
- Start-up Environment: Experience in a start-up environment preferred; must thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- ERP System Administration: ERP System Administration experience required; NetSuite & MS Dynamics experience preferred.
- QuickBooks to ERP System: Experience converting from QuickBooks to an ERP System.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
- CPA License: CPA license or active pursuit of CPA license (highly preferred).
- Team Building and Management: Demonstrated experience in cross-functional team building and management with strong communication skills.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Microsoft Office: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
- Accounting Operations, Financial Reporting, and Compliance: Proven track record in managing accounting operations, financial reporting, and accounting compliance.
