Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at MCR Hotels. Key Responsibilities
  • Hotel Operations: Assist the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, including supervising and supporting various departments such as Guest Services, Food & Beverage, Food Production, Engineering, Accounting, Sales, and Housekeeping.
  • Leadership Development: Assist the General Manager in developing and implementing training programs for managerial and hourly employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Financial Management: Assist the General Manager in creating financial reports and meeting deadlines as required by MCR.
  • Guest Service: Ensure that all levels of service are maintained in accordance with directives given by regional leadership, and approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Problem-Solving: Evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately, and be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Previous supervisory experience preferred, with progressive experience in the hotel industry, including Rooms and Food & Beverage departments.
  • Skills: Must be able to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations, and be effective in handling problems in the workplace. Must also be proficient in Windows operating systems, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
