Commercial Solar Business Development Specialist

Job DescriptionThe Commercial Project Business Development professional will play a critical role in driving business growth and revenue targets. This position requires a driven sales professional who can identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities, while developing market initiatives and assessing new markets.
Key Responsibilities- Actively prospect to identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities
- Provide strategic insight and leadership in business development activities and developing revenue channels
- Develop market initiatives, assess new markets, and analyze business opportunities
- Conduct financial feasibility studies and develop proposals for new business opportunities
- Work closely with Estimating and Project Execution Team Leaders to develop project opportunities
- Lead the structuring, negotiation, and development of partnerships and play an active role in project development and relationship management
- Identify emerging industry trends and key areas for growth; evaluate and execute on key partnership opportunities to enable growth
- Grow business relationships with existing clients
- Provide timely and accurate reports on sales activities and customer status
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive strategy and business development experience
- Demonstrated ability with high-level, consultative selling skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Demonstrated experience as a leader and mentor
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Ability and willingness to travel 25-50% of time
- Results-oriented; proven experience meeting/exceeding goals
- Exceptional problem analysis/problem resolution skill at a strategic and functional level
- Strong creative, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
