The Software Solutions Engineer will be responsible for executing projects and guiding engineering teams to address critical data-driven technology initiatives.

This role will report to the
Innovation and Development Manager and will collaborate closely with the national Innovation & Development team.

We seek a highly proficient software engineer who is adept in both front-end and back-end development.

Key responsibilities include engaging in user interviews, crafting and designing front-end web user interfaces from a modular architecture, integrating existing data sets and models, developing and maintaining semantically driven object ontologies, and ensuring application responsiveness, among other tasks.

This role requires overseeing a project from inception to completion, necessitating exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities
Engagement in user interviews to comprehend technical and customer requirements.
Designing front-end website architecture based on advanced frameworks.
Creating user interactions on web pages within development environments.

Developing back-end code logic that utilizes semantic object linking (ontologies) within modern development tools.

Establishing servers, databases, and datasets for necessary functionality.
Ensuring the integrity of data connections and pipelines (utilizing various protocols and methods).
Adhering to security protocols and guidelines for sensitive data sets.
Guaranteeing the responsiveness of web applications developed on low-code/no-code platforms.
Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile devices.
Managing projects from conception to final delivery.
Meeting both technical and client requirements.
Staying updated on advancements in web applications and programming languages.
Leading other engineers to develop features within your projects.

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field with 4 years of experience required.
Strong proficiency in programming languages and coding principles.
Extensive knowledge of web development frameworks.
Exceptional attention to detail, facilitation, team collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
Demonstrated critical thinking capabilities.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Ability to obtain relevant certifications.
Experience with advanced development tools preferred.
Proficiency in fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript preferred.
Familiarity with JavaScript libraries such as Lodash, Moment, Numeral, and es6-shim preferred.
Proficiency in server-side languages for structured data processing; Python, PySpark, Java, Apache Spark, and SparkSQL preferred.
Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and others preferred.
Familiarity with analytical tools for business intelligence and data science such as Power BI, Jupyter, and R Studio preferred.
Strong organizational and project management skills preferred.
Experience in team leadership preferred.
