Overview: The software engineer will play a key role in the design, development, and upkeep of web applications utilized by our team and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and validate web applications.
  • Collaborate closely with Analysts, QA Testers, and end users to ensure applications align with business requirements.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the overall software development methodology.
  • Engage with various development teams to share code, best practices, and methodologies to enhance efficiency in development and maintenance.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Operate within agile frameworks (Scrum and Kanban) to organize, plan, and execute tasks.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, information systems, or a related quantitative discipline.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining database-driven web applications.
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively within a team utilizing agile methodologies to deliver functional, well-tested, and maintainable software.
  • Experience in developing web applications using Python and Django, or other Python web frameworks.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Python development, debugging, and testing.
  • Proficient in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Proficient in SQL and foundational database design principles.
  • Experience with unit testing and test automation.
  • Familiarity with containerization and cloud infrastructure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with non-technical stakeholders.
