As a member of the Platform Delivery Team, you will be integral to the Technology Modernization Strategy.

In your daily role as a Go Software Engineer, you will engage with a development team to create new banking applications and shared platform services using a cutting-edge technology stack. You will also collaborate closely with fellow Software Engineers, DevOps professionals, Product Owners, and Business Analysts, both within your team and across the organization.

**Key Responsibilities:**


- Design, test, deploy, maintain, and scale backend services within a microservices architecture using the Go programming language, data storage solutions, and asynchronous event processing.


- Collaborate with engineering teams to assess needs, prioritize tasks, and develop solutions that align with product evolution.


- Acquire a thorough understanding of specific banking domains your team manages and comprehend how changes in these areas affect products.

- Work alongside customer support teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects and issues.

- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

**Qualifications:**

**Essential Skills:**

- Minimum of 4 years of programming experience.

- At least 1 year of backend development experience using Go/Golang.

**Preferred Skills:**

- A bachelor's degree in computer science is advantageous but not mandatory.

- Experience with microservices architecture.

- Background in developing cloud-hosted applications (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).

- Familiarity with AI, Machine Learning, or training Large Language Models (LLM).

- Proficiency in any or all of the following:

- Infrastructure as code, continuous integration pipelines, observability and monitoring tools, Cloud Spanner, Mongo Atlas, event-driven or distributed systems, Docker, and Kubernetes (PaaS/Container orchestration platform).

- Self-motivation and the capacity to work independently.


- A strong sense of ownership over deliverables, from collaborating with the product manager to define scope, through to supporting your work in production.

**Top Skills Required:**

- 5+ years of software development experience, particularly in microservices.

- 2+ years of GoLang programming experience.

- Experience in developing cloud-hosted applications - Azure or GCP.

- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, continuous integration pipelines, observability tools, Docker & Kubernetes.
