Group Life Counselor

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a qualified Group Life Counselor to join our Behavioral Health Department in Seattle. As a Group Life Counselor, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team providing direct services to patients in a residential setting.
Job Summary:
The Group Life Counselor will provide a combination of group care, intake procedures, evaluation, individual and group counseling, milieu management, and supervision of patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of chemical dependency as a treatable illness and a public health problem.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct services to patients in a residential setting, including group care, intake procedures, evaluation, individual and group counseling, and milieu management.
- Work closely with the multi-disciplinary treatment team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on chemical dependency and related issues.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or related field.
- At least two years of experience working with high-risk youth or adults.
- Must have and maintain CPR Certification every two years and First-Aid every three years.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
