Job Summary:

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Group Life Counselor to join our Behavioral Health Department in Seattle. This is a full-time position located at Renacer Youth Treatment Center, an inpatient facility for young adults suffering from substance abuse. The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team providing direct services to patients in a residential setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct services to patients, including group care, intake procedures, evaluation, individual and group counseling, milieu management, and supervision of patients.
  • Work closely with the treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Facilitate treatment educational groups with patients.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Conduct intake procedures and evaluations.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or related field.
  • At least two years of experience working with high-risk youth or adults.
  • Experience working with individuals with chemical dependency and mental health issues.
  • Ability to maintain CPR Certification every two years and First-Aid every three years.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
