Job Summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Group Life Counselor I, II, or III to join our Behavioral Health Department in Seattle. As a member of our multi-disciplinary treatment team, you will provide direct services to patients in a residential setting, including group care, intake procedures, evaluation, individual and group counseling, milieu management, and supervision of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct services to patients in a residential setting, including group care, intake procedures, evaluation, individual and group counseling, milieu management, and supervision of patients.
  • Work closely with the treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans that address the physical, mental, emotional, and social needs of patients.
  • Facilitate treatment educational groups and provide individual or group sessions as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient interactions and treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or related field.
  • At least two years of experience working with high-risk youth or adults, preferably in a residential treatment setting.
  • Must have and maintain CPR Certification every two years and First-Aid every three years.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and maintain a calm and composed demeanor in high-stress situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
