Market Access and Reimbursement Director

Salary RangeThe estimated salary for this role is $164,900.00 - $329,700.00 per year, based on factors such as location and industry standards.
Job DescriptionAs a Director, Market Access and Reimbursement, you'll play a critical role in developing and executing strategies to secure market access for Abbott's innovative products and therapies. This includes working closely with cross-functional teams to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop compelling value propositions that resonate with payers, providers, and other stakeholders.
You'll be responsible for leading the development of health economic studies, reimbursement analysis, and coverage strategies to support market access initiatives. Your expertise will also be sought after by internal customers, including new product planning teams, clinical science and operations, medical affairs marketing, sales, and geography reimbursement teams, as well as external customers such as provider customers, private payers, government agencies, physician societies, and industry trade associations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead cross-functional teams to create global health economic, value messaging, reimbursement, and coverage strategies
- Manage key relationships with providers, payers, reimbursement teams, and sales force to address customer needs and expectations
- Provide payer, clinician, and patient perspective on development of internal/external coverage/reimbursement and ROI education, tools, and support
- Collaborate with medical affairs, clinical affairs, and marketing on evidence generation to support market access
- Provide strategic direction on economic buyer and commercial payer-related issues related to reimbursement, coverage, and contracting for the Abbott product portfolio
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum 7 years of functional experience in reimbursement
