POSITION SUMMARY


The Senior Lease Operator is responsible for overseeing and supporting installation and maintenance teams in troubleshooting artificial lift production systems. This role includes assessing repair needs and managing the installation of various surface and subsurface equipment.


The operator will write and supervise permit-related tasks, including but not limited to hot work and confined space entry.


Collaboration with the Artificial Lift Corrosion Representative (ALCR) is essential for effective management of artificial lift operations in the field.


As part of career development, the operator will work towards acquiring the necessary skills to progress to the ALCR position.


HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ENVIRONMENT

Commitment to Health, Environment, and Safety (HES) is crucial. Daily activities must comply with relevant regulations and policies, ensuring an environmentally responsible approach and adherence to safe operating practices as outlined in the MCBU Safe Practice Manual.


Active participation in Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Permit to Work (PTW), and Stop Work Authority (SWA) is required, along with compliance with Pressure Pumping Standards.


COLLABORATION AND MANAGEMENT

The operator will work closely with the ALCR to plan and supervise the installation, repair, and replacement of surface and subsurface equipment, ensuring high standards of competency and quality.


Additionally, the operator may serve as a backup for the ALCR, which could involve weekend on-call duties.


Collaboration with Field Specialists, Project Engineers, and Trainees is essential to optimize artificial lift performance, including managing run times and cycle efficiency.


COMPLIANCE AND REPORTING

All tasks must align with the company's Operational Excellence standards and regulatory requirements. The operator will conduct quality reviews of completed jobs and enter necessary data into the system of record.


Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess a High School diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant operational experience in the oil and gas or related petrochemical sectors. Familiarity with safety regulations and maintenance/testing requirements for safety devices is essential.


Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), CMMS, and various artificial lift and field surveillance software systems (such as Rodstar, Centaur, Wellview, PIVision, EAM, and Vogel Predictive) is required. Candidates must reside within a reasonable distance from the work location or be willing to relocate and hold a valid driver's license.


Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed is necessary, along with the ability to work a 9/80 schedule.


The operator will act as the Subsurface point of contact for field specialists and lead HSE initiatives related to the execution of the Subsurface program.


Independence and the ability to work effectively within a diverse team are essential attributes for success in this role.
