JOB OVERVIEW


The Senior Lease Operator is responsible for overseeing and assisting installation and repair teams in diagnosing issues with artificial lift production systems, as well as planning and executing repairs and installations for various surface and subsurface equipment.


This role involves writing and managing permit-related tasks, including but not limited to hot work and confined space entry permits.


Support the Artificial Lift Corrosion Representative (ALCR) in the ongoing management of artificial lift operations in the field.


Develop the necessary skills and knowledge to progress to the ALCR position.


Actively engage in Health, Environment, and Safety protocols by conducting daily tasks in compliance with relevant regulations and policies, ensuring all activities are performed with environmental awareness, adhering to safe operating procedures as outlined in the MCBU Safe Practice Manual, and maintaining a secure work environment while being prepared for any environmental or safety incidents.


Participate rigorously in Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Permit to Work (PTW), and Stop Work Authority (SWA) processes, as well as adhere to Pressure Pumping Standards and procedures.


Collaborate with the ALCR to understand and manage various artificial lift systems, including gas lift, rod pump, electric submersible, and plunger lift systems.


Work closely with the ALCR to plan and supervise teams in the installation, repair, and replacement of surface and subsurface equipment, ensuring high standards of competency and quality in all work performed.


Serve as a backup for the ALCR, which may involve being on call during weekends.


Collaborate with Field Specialists, Project Engineers, and Trainees to enhance artificial lift performance, focusing on run times and cycle management.


Ensure that all work complies with the company's Operational Excellence standards and regulatory obligations.


Conduct quality assessments on completed jobs.


Input necessary data into the record-keeping system.


Perform additional duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or equivalent required.


A minimum of 4 years of relevant operational experience in the oil and gas or related petrochemical sectors, including familiarity with regulations and maintenance/testing requirements for safety devices.


Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), CMMS, and adaptable to new software systems.


Experience with artificial lift and field monitoring software systems (e.g., Rodstar, Centaur, Wellview, PIVision, EAM, Vogel Predictive, Petrosoft) is essential. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the job location or be willing to relocate and possess a valid driver's license.


Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required by operational demands. Must be able to work a 9/80 schedule.


Act as the primary subsurface contact for all field specialists.


Lead Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) initiatives related to the execution of the subsurface program.


Ability to work independently with minimal supervision when necessary.


Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
