The MDDC Credit Union Association is a registered nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering innovative economic solutions and creating collaborative educational resources, particularly for underserved communities. Our mission is to empower individuals through Financial Literacy, Career Development, and Community Involvement.

Position Overview:

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will report directly to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational effectiveness of our programs, resources, volunteers, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to formulate and execute operational strategies that advance the Association's mission.
  • Manage daily operations and activities, providing executive leadership and oversight of organizational resources to ensure optimal execution of initiatives aligned with our mission.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing nonprofit organizations, establishing and enforcing appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Enhance the visibility of the Association by serving as the primary spokesperson and engaging in community events to bolster our brand and credibility.
  • Build partnerships and alliances with like-minded organizations and individuals to amplify the Association's impact.
  • Develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet the financial needs of the Association.
  • Identify and address any additional needs of the Association to achieve mission objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • A strong commitment to nonprofit work and community development.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in leadership roles within nonprofit organizations.
  • Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and financial requirements for nonprofit entities.
  • Proven experience in public relations, marketing, and fundraising.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a creative approach to business planning.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Additional Information:

This position is currently part-time, with the potential to transition to full-time in the future. Compensation will be based on a percentage of the funds raised under the CEO's leadership.
