The Opportunity
CLevelCrossing is on the lookout for a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") to steer the organization into its next phase of development.

The CEO will be dedicated to fostering True Diversity in STEM, ensuring that all fields within STEM, particularly leadership roles, reflect the demographics of the U.S. population.

This role involves managing and nurturing a diverse and passionate team while collaborating closely with a Board that encompasses a wide range of professional experiences to further the mission and support its expanding membership.

The Chief Executive Officer will possess the ability to lead effectively in a virtual setting and will be open to traveling as necessary.

Candidate Profile
The ideal CEO will be a collaborative, inspiring, and engaged leader with a sincere commitment to promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion ("DEI") within STEM.

The CEO will prioritize building strong relationships with staff, board members, partners, funders, and the organization's extensive and accomplished membership.

Successful candidates will demonstrate significant experience in fiscal management and operations within a nonprofit context, employing a DEI perspective, along with effective organizational practices and a proven history of developing high-performing teams. Knowledge of federal grant funding mechanisms and the ability to implement strategies that optimize resources are essential.

  • Financial and Business Acumen: The CEO will possess a comprehensive understanding of best practices in nonprofit management.

Compensation & Benefits
The starting base salary for this position is $170,000. This is a permanent, full-time, exempt role and is eligible for the organization's comprehensive benefits package.
