Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at Power Partners. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating customer designs and developing design for manufacturing details for single and 3-phase transformers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop transformer designs from basic concepts, identifying opportunities to improve manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate product development through various testing methods.
  • Understand customer specifications and identify critical requirements, providing solutions to meet their needs.
  • Interact with marketing, sales, and customers to determine alternative solutions or improvements based on their needs.
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers and other cross-functional personnel on project implementation and technical solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical/electrical design.
  • 2 years' experience using CAD software (2D and 3D modeling).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Access and SolidWorks/Inventor.
  • Knowledge of transformer design and software handling, with the ability to apply advanced engineering concepts and principles.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Work Environment:

  • Position contingent on passing all applicable fit for duty requirements.
  • May require occasional climbing, bending, or squatting.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move 20-35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
