About the Role

Gable Search Group is seeking a highly skilled Aviation Electrical Engineer to join our team in a dynamic role that combines engineering expertise with a passion for aviation and federal projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the fueling electrical team to create cutting-edge design deliverables for Aircraft Systems (Fueling & Ramp Services) and Federal Fueling Business Lines.
  • Engage with clients across the US, including private airlines, public airports, city entities, and the US Department of Defense.
  • Dive into projects of varying sizes and complexities, from single-tank gas stations to million-barrel bulk fuel storage depots and high-volume aviation fuel facilities.
  • Take ownership of critical Electrical tasks:
    • Develop AC power systems, one-line diagrams, motor starter schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, area classification drawings, grounding plans, and lighting layouts.
    • Specify electrical equipment, including coordination with public utilities, low-voltage motor control centers, transformers, generators, transfer switches, and power distribution centers (PDCs).
    • Design facility support systems, such as site surveillance, gate access, lightning protection, and operations buildings.
    • Crunch numbers: perform cable sizing, voltage drop, conduit sizing, and other essential calculations.
    • Analyze electrical systems for load flow, short circuit, arc-flash hazards, and breaker settings.
  • Dive into Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) tasks:
    • Collaborate with the fuel mechanical discipline to develop Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
    • Craft system control philosophies and alarm setpoints, ensuring seamless operation.
    • Provide expertise in EI&C (Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls) components.
