Position Overview

This role is a distinctive opportunity within the semiconductor inspection and metrology equipment sector, focusing on sales to laboratories nationwide. The ideal candidate will be driven by results, possessing a strong capability to meet projected objectives, engage in strategic negotiations, and align customer process challenges with intricate measurement and analytical inspection techniques utilized in the micro-electronics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new client opportunities through diverse strategies while meticulously maintaining account records within the company’s CRM system.
  • Develop and present sales proposals and presentations, ensuring consistent follow-up with key decision-makers.
  • Conduct quarterly meetings with new clients and provide standard meeting reports for assigned territories and strategic accounts.
  • Oversee the complete sales cycle from initial inquiry to final acceptance and payment, including quotations, samples, negotiations, order confirmations, and coordination of delivery and payment terms.
  • Regularly meet with direct supervisors to evaluate sales activities, prospective customer statuses, sales goal strategies, and deadlines.
  • Plan quarterly sales initiatives with input from supervisors to fulfill sales targets and travel expectations.
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and follow-up of trade shows alongside other members of the Account Management team.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in sales planning, forecasting, and strategic account management.
  • Experience in product demonstrations and group presentations.
  • Proficient in negotiations with clients and vendors to maximize profit while managing risk.
  • Ability to coordinate information, terms, and communication between clients and partner organizations.
  • Organized management of records using a current CRM platform.
  • Strong time management skills focused on meeting deadlines.
  • Capability to manage multiple accounts and projects concurrently.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with clients, particularly in response to inquiries via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong proficiency in PC applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks.
  • Prior experience in technical sales.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Material Science, Physics, or 3-5 years of relevant experience in material science, technical sales, and customer relationship management.

Additional Information:

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Proficiency in Japanese, both reading and writing, is required.
  • This is a hybrid position after an initial period.
