Job Title: Research and Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research and Development Specialist to join our team at SSi People. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of biophysical assays to accelerate our drug discovery efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute surface plasmon resonance (SPR) analysis for small molecules binding to protein and/or protein protein interactions.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure project goals and deliverables are met.
  • Communicate effectively and present results in cross-functional team meetings.
  • Troubleshoot and solve scientific problems with minimal supervision.
  • Be highly organized and support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Operate and maintain specialized SPR lab equipment.
Qualifications:
  • B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry or related discipline and +2 years of relevant experience in an industrial or academic lab.
  • Prior experience with biophysical assay methods (especially SPR, and others such as ITC, DSF and MST).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
