About This Role

Forrester's Director for Evaluative Research leads the operations for our evaluative research product portfolio, which includes the Forrester Wave and Forrester Landscape reports as well as the interactive digital experience powered by Forrester Wave and Landscape data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and enforce the standardization of the product portfolio to ensure simplicity, quality, and consistency.
  • Work with research teams to execute on evaluative research projects.
  • Communicate the value of the product set to various stakeholders, including internal stakeholders (such as sales, research, and product leaders) and Forrester clients (vendors and users).
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to optimize and communicate the process.
Requirements
  • Understand the demand for, and impact of, Forrester's evaluative research by speaking with clients, vendors, analysts, research directors, product teams, and sales teams.
  • Manage the portfolio of evaluative research products in a way that optimizes effort and maximizes the business value for Forrester.
  • Work with research leadership to develop, standardize, and execute on the methodology and process.
  • Communicate the value of the evaluative research set to key stakeholders.
  • Educate sales teams on how to manage client vendors being evaluated.
  • Manage vendor interactions (and escalations) by ensuring that standards are clear.
  • Act as the ombudsman for the escalation process.
  • Conduct regular outreach to the vendors who participate in multiple Forrester Waves to obtain feedback and to assure them that they are being heard.
  • With research leadership, define the right metrics for the success of the role.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree and a strong academic record.
  • At least eight years of professional work experience, preferably in a role that required strong project management or organizational skills.
  • Five years' experience in technology market research or an account team role in a research firm or at a technology vendor that required interacting with research firms.
  • Ability to multitask across projects and a strong attention to detail.
  • Professional communication skills, particularly with clients and vendors.
  • Ability to manage disagreements related to scoring, fact-checking, and scoring previews.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with business essential and emerging technology concepts.
