Job Summary

Cedar Fair is seeking a highly skilled Workforce Management Director to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for forecasting and reporting of staffing needs, directing the scheduling process, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Forecasting and Reporting: Develop and implement forecasting models to predict staffing needs, and create reports to analyze business metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Labor Scheduling: Oversee labor scheduling processes, providing cross-functional support to other departmental managers, and making recommendations for improvements based on reports.
  • Productivity Analysis: Monitor productivity of the labor force using the WFM system, reporting, and dashboards, and provide feedback to operating divisions and the General Manager.
  • Forecasting and Scheduling Plans: Analyze historical trends and future projections to create forecasting, scheduling, and staffing plans that meet business needs.
  • Workforce Optimization: Work with management teams to oversee workforce optimization programs, ensuring innovation and standardization of best practices across all divisions.
  • WFM System Management: Serve as the WFM system owner, working with the vendor and Corporate Director of WFM on system issues and upgrades.
  • Key Metrics and Reporting: Define key metrics to provide managers with a solid understanding of business performance, and establish reporting methods around key metrics related to WFM.
  • Compliance and Training: Work with internal audit, HR, and management teams to ensure compliance standards are being met, and analyze and manage associate training and certifications.

  • Excellent Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to collect and analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Ability to lead and partner in cross-functional teams, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Workforce Management: Understanding of WFM principles, practices, and industry trends.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
