What You'll Do
  • Guide the Technical Design: Lead the technical design, implementation, and optimization of global infrastructure services; primarily focused on our Hybrid Cloud initiative.
  • Architectural and Topology Design: Guide the architectural and topology design, new technology evaluation, and integration planning activities.
  • Research and Recommend New Technology: Research and recommend new technology, such as integrated hardware and software solutions, that meet key business requirements.
  • Ensure Reliability and Redundancy: Ensure architecture and design provide reliability and redundancy for all IT Services.
  • Manage Projects and Programs: Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services by established objectives.
  • Develop High-Quality Documentation: Ensure high-quality documentation for supported infrastructure is developed and maintained.
  • Own Automation of Operational Activities: Own the automation of operational activities for Windows, Linux, and Cloud-related technologies.
  • Partner with ServiceNow Developers: Partner with ServiceNow developers to integrate Systems technologies with the ServiceNow platform.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure SOX and other legal and regulatory compliance in the infrastructure area.
  • Own Observability Tools: Need someone who has built/set up an observability tool (like Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, or Elastic search capabilities) in the past.
  • Logging and Monitoring Tools: Own logging and monitoring tools and traces.
  • Backend and Frontend of Observability Tool: Own backend and front end of the observability tool.
  • Integrations with SaaS Platforms: Own integrations with different SaaS platforms to help bring logs into the Observability platform.
  • Work with Infrastructure, Systems, and Cloud Technologies: Work with infrastructure, systems, and cloud technologies as needed.
Qualifications
  • Deep Experience in Cloud Infrastructure: Deep experience designing and administrating public cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service in Azure or AWS.
  • Minimum of 10 Years of Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in the design and development of Windows and Linux IT Systems.
  • Scripting Proficiency: Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell.
  • Experience in Implementing Innovative Technologies: Experience in implementing innovative technologies and solutions in an enterprise IT environment.
  • Deep Understanding of vSphere ESXi: Deep understanding of vSphere ESXi 5/6 and experience with deploying and managing a highly-virtualized infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory: Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory architecture, design and configuration in an enterprise IT environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Other Scripting Languages: Experience in other scripting languages (bash, python, vbscript, etc).
  • Experience Supporting and Managing HPC: Experience supporting and managing HPC (high-performance compute), preferably SAP HANA.
  • Experience Working with REST or SOAP Based APIs: Experience working with various REST or SOAP based API's.
  • Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and DFS: Knowledge of DNS, DHCP and DFS in a Windows 2008/2012 landscape.
  • Experience Crafting Advanced Splunk Queries: Experience in crafting advanced Splunk queries in support of operational needs.
  • Experience with Exchange Online: Experience with the architecture, design and implementation of Exchange Online (O365).
  • Understanding and Experience with SAN Storage: Understanding and experience with SAN storage (Pure Storage).
  • Understanding and Experience with Fiber Switches: Understanding and experience with fiber switches, storage zoning, and backup technology (Veeam or Commvault).
  • Experience with Load Balancing Technology: Experience with load balancing technology (F5 or AVI Networks).
  • Relational Database Experience: Any relational database experience (Microsoft SQL, MySql, Oracle, etc).
  • Experience with Single Sign-on Solutions: Experience with Single sign-on solutions (Okta).
  • Experience Using the ServiceNow Platform: Experience using the ServiceNow platform with knowledge of IT Operations Management.
  • Ability to Multi-task: Ability to multi-task in an ever-changing environment.
  • Strong Security Understanding: Strong security understanding and experience.
  • Configuration Management Experience: Configuration Management experience (SaltStack, Ansible, SCCM, etc).
  • Exceptional English Communication Skills: Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal. This includes listening skills and an open attitude toward constructive feedback.
