We are in search of a seasoned, hands-on Senior Cloud Solutions Architect who is enthusiastic about developing dependable, predictable, and user-friendly automation to provision cloud infrastructure for our developers. This role is pivotal in expediting the delivery of product features for our Advertising Technologies within the App Store, Apple News, and other platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish frameworks that empower developers to engage with Apple Cloud Infrastructure for code testing.
  • Design next-generation container platforms to host Advertising Technologies services.
  • Create tools to enhance the observability of Advertising Technologies systems.
  • Develop expertise in Apple Infrastructure and best practices to manage world-class distributed systems.
  • Design and implement tools to bolster infrastructure reliability.
  • Enhance areas such as capacity planning, configuration management, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize on-call efficiencies, drive incident management, and conduct post-mortem analyses.
  • Improve new and existing system architectures based on principles of reliability and high availability, integrating comprehensive logging and observability.
  • Establish robust deployment and delivery pipelines.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of substantial experience supporting internet-facing production services and distributed systems.
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
  • Proficiency in managing Linux-based systems with a solid understanding of its internals.
  • Experience with container platforms like Kubernetes and Nomad.
  • Strong proficiency in operating infrastructures on AWS.
  • Robust programming skills in Python (required) or Go (preferred).
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with a creative and innovative mindset.
  • Strong sense of ownership, customer service, and integrity, with a desire to communicate and collaborate with teams.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior engineers.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn and grow.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
