Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Press Operator to join our team at Resource Label Group. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating the HP Digital printing press to produce high-quality pressure sensitive labels and related products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality labels that meet customer specifications and standards
  • Input data into job management software, including time and materials used
  • Read and load job orders into the press, fill ink cans and pumps with prescribed inks
  • Start the press, adjusting speed and alignment of stock to the print cylinder as necessary
  • Adjust printing impression and run down approval strips
  • Cut and inspect samples of approval strips for imperfections and make adjustments as needed
  • Communicate job-specific information or changes to the supervisor in a timely manner to minimize production downtime
  • Report any production or press issues to the supervisor in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate inventory usage at all times
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance as required
  • Keep work areas clear and organized, maintaining housekeeping standards
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One year of previous experience operating a press in a printing environment, preferably a digital press
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must be able to read and interpret ruler, scales, and other measurement devices
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and frequently is required to walk
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without mechanical assistance
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
