About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Technology Asset Strategist to join our team at Chemical Abstracts Service. As a key member of our technology department, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, providing expert guidance on software applications, and ensuring compliance with vendor agreements.

Job Responsibilities
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Develop strong relationships with internal customers, including Purchasing, Finance, and Legal, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Software Application Expertise: Work closely with application owners to provide current state-of-the-art software applications, propose upgrades or changes, and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Vendor Compliance: Assist with vendor compliance audits to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and maintain accurate records in our asset management system.
  • Asset Management: Maintain up-to-date records of agreements, open requests, license counts, and lifecycle vendor data in our asset management system.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers by responding promptly and accurately to inquiries and training internal staff.
  • Device Refreshes: Coordinate device refreshes to ensure timely return of old devices and minimize disruptions.
  • Equipment Reclamation: Reclaim equipment and update asset records as staff members separate from the company.
  • Asset Disposal: Complete asset disposal processes, ensuring BIOS removal and accurate record-keeping.
  • Physical Inventory Audits: Participate in standard projects for physical hardware inventory audits, planning, coordinating, and reviewing findings of missing or unknown assets, and updating the asset management system accordingly.
Requirements
  • Education: A college degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required; an advanced degree may be substituted for work experience.
  • Experience: 2 years of related experience; experience with asset management solutions is highly desired.
  • Skills: Proficiency in critical thinking, understanding of software license terminology, and demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Desirable Skills: Experience with PeopleSoft, Basware, Contract and Vendor Management software is highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $$85,000 - $110,000, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
