Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our efforts in building capacity, engaging and serving the broader community, building partnerships to expand our services, and continuously improving the experience and health outcomes of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organizational Leadership and Management
    • Provide strategic direction to the organization, working collaboratively with the Board of Directors and others.
    • Ensure the business of CFC is implemented through a lens of diversity, equity, inclusion, and access.
    • Participate in annual planning, in collaboration with the Board and committees, and manage CFC's performance to meet goals and objectives.
    • Support a strong Board of Directors and support committees of the Board.
    • Support the recruiting and onboarding of Board and committee members.
  • Funding and Resource Development
    • Promote a long-term outlook to shape CFC's fund development and resource mobilization strategy, to support clinic sustainability and growth.
    • Support the Development and Communications Director and grants team in preparation of an Annual Fund Development Plan, aligned with the Strategic Plan.
    • Build the case for supporting CFC and demonstrates its value proposition.
    • Set fundraising priorities and pursue opportunities to raise funds and in-kind resources for the clinic.
    • Facilitate and participate in donor cultivation activities, working closely with the Development and Communications Director and the Board.
  • Partnerships and Collaboration
    • Represent CFC in the community and build/maintain strong community partnerships (e.g. CCC, Community Action Agency, civic groups, other nonprofits).
    • Take initiative to build and nurture clinic partnerships, advancing shared priorities for the population CFC serves.
    • Seek input from others, and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders in the donor, healthcare, business, and patient communities.
  • Medical Clinic Operations
    • Support the Medical Director and the Nurse Practitioner as they supervise and direct the clinical work of CFC's medical staff.
    • Support the Medical Director, Nurse Practitioner, and Operations Manager, ensuring that programs and services are compliant with regulations and standards of quality care.
    • Understand community health needs, barriers to care, and related trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Five years of relevant leadership and management experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communicator, and effective public speaker.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in public health or healthcare.
  • Demonstrated skills in leading, mentoring and supporting staff, and building effective teams.
  • Experience in developing and managing an annual budget, including revenue and expense (e.g. approving contracts, supervising fundraising).
  • Experience formulating strategies, plans, and priorities, and accomplishing them.
  • Track record of developing strong community partnerships.
  • Action-oriented, adaptable, and innovative.
  • Bachelors or advanced degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
  • Oregon Drivers License and access to reliable transportation.
Benefits
  • Salary range of $90,000 to $110,000, depending on experience, plus competitive benefits.
