Position Overview:

Otis Elevator Company is on the lookout for a driven sales executive to champion cutting-edge solutions for both existing and prospective clients within our New Equipment (New Installation) sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue elevator construction opportunities, including bid identification, proposal preparation, and client negotiations.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with both new and existing clients, including General Contractors and Architectural firms.
  • Assess project specifications and offer recommendations on optimal solutions.
  • Negotiate elevator construction contracts to achieve targeted pricing and profit margins.
  • Interpret commercial contract terms, including aspects related to insurance and liability.
  • Assist team members in developing construction timelines and understanding the sequence of elevator installation processes.
  • Acquire and communicate comprehensive product knowledge of all elevator and escalator lines, along with specialized architectural insights.
  • Review and interpret architectural plans.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate potential projects or monitor ongoing job statuses.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a sales role is essential.

Skills: The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication abilities, enabling effective relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders. A self-starter with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft-based software and a strong aptitude for sales and negotiation are required.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in the elevator or construction industry, or a background in selling machinery or technical equipment, is advantageous.
