Behavioral Health Specialist

Job Summary:
Turning Point Community Programs is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Specialist I to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will provide psychosocial, rehabilitation, and recovery-oriented services to our members, advocating for their needs and empowering them to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct mental health services, including counseling, case management, and advocacy.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans to support members' recovery and well-being.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Conduct home visits, medication outreach, and transportation services as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including progress notes, activity reports, and logs.
- Participate in on-call coverage and provide crisis intervention services as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant higher education or experience preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in direct mental health services, with a focus on psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery-oriented services.
- California driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Knowledge of community mental health principles, counseling techniques, and crisis intervention strategies.
- Ability to work effectively under stress, exercise judgment, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule:
Tuesday-Saturday, 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm
