Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team. As a Behavioral Support Specialist, you will work with clients to identify the function of their behavior/symptoms and develop effective replacement behaviors. You will provide behavioral coaching, counseling, skill building, case management, and crisis intervention services to clients and caregivers.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of treatment plans by working with clients to identify the function of their behavior/symptoms and effective replacement behaviors
  • Provide behavioral coaching, counseling, skill building, case management, and crisis intervention services to clients and caregivers
  • Complete mental health notes, functional behavioral analyses, treatment plans, and other paperwork as indicated
  • Maintain accurate documentation and paperwork including but not limited to timesheets, petty cash, and mileage
  • Implement behavioral interventions to clients and caregivers
  • Provide on-call coverage to the program as scheduled
  • Participate in all program staff meetings, and other treatment meetings when necessary
  • Participate in weekly supervision with the Lead Clinician and/or Program Supervisor
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Counseling/Psychology/Social Work
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work some evening hours as needed
  • Be part of a rotating emergency on-call system, scheduled with supervisor ahead of time
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies insurance policy
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
  • Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination or an HR-approved medical/religious exemption
