Key Responsibilities:

Your primary role will involve overseeing freight processing and merchandising tasks within the store, ensuring that our standards for product presentation and storeroom organization are met.

You will lead and guide a team, actively engaging in various merchandising activities, including:

  • Managing truck unloads, freight flow, and backroom organization.
  • Supervising the freight team to ensure efficiency.
  • Developing strategies to meet merchandising goals and objectives.
  • Utilizing company tools and reports to analyze trends and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Maintaining the store's visual appeal, including merchandise presentation and signage accuracy.
  • Overseeing price changes and ensuring they are correctly displayed on the sales floor.
  • Participating in the recruitment, selection, and training of new associates.
  • Administering performance evaluations and disciplinary actions in collaboration with store leadership.
  • Assisting with scheduling and payroll management.
  • Acting as Manager on Duty when required, providing leadership and direction to associates on the sales floor.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is required. Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
  • A minimum of three years of retail management experience is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Proficient decision-making and problem-solving abilities are required.
  • Physical capability to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 pounds, along with the ability to move freely throughout the store.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule of 40 to 45 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingness to travel between locations, including potential overnight stays.
  • Demonstrated skills in visual merchandising are required.
  • Basic proficiency in English literacy, mathematics, and computer skills is necessary.
