Work Schedule:

- Shifts starting at 3 PM, Saturday through Tuesday

Position Overview:

The Retail Operations Specialist is responsible for executing general warehouse tasks, which include retrieving merchandise from a pick list, physically breaking down products, constructing and shrink-wrapping packages, transferring items from the sales floor to the staging area, utilizing handheld scanners to confirm merchandise counts and update locations, and operating necessary equipment. This role also involves engaging with various digital initiatives such as BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process member purchases efficiently and courteously by retrieving items from a pick list.

- Utilize handheld scanner devices (RF) to select orders from the sales floor and verify merchandise.

- Construct boxes, shrink-wrap packages, and transfer items from the sales floor to the staging area.

- Communicate inventory or equipment issues and report expired or short-dated items on the pick list.

- Collaborate with club team members to replenish merchandise as needed.

- Ensure timely order picking to meet productivity standards.

- Follow operational efficiencies and productivity standards in accordance with established procedures.

- Securely package orders and manage shipments through BJ's Fulfillment Center and other systems.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.

- Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.

- Order supplies for the department and maintain open communication with the Club Support Center.

- Adhere to all club policies and procedures while performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in order pulling is preferred.

- Experience in big box or wholesale retail is advantageous.

- Familiarity with RF scanner devices is preferred.

Job Conditions:

- This role involves continuous movement on hard surfaces and may require bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping.

- Regular lifting of objects up to 30 pounds is necessary, with potential for heavier items requiring assistance.

- The work environment may include exposure to machinery and loud equipment, necessitating clear communication.

- Occasional exposure to temperature extremes may occur when handling refrigerated orders.

- There may be limited exposure to approved cleaning agents.

In alignment with Pay Transparency regulations, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we consider a variety of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position starts at $15.50.
