Position Overview

$2500 sign-on bonus after 90 days of employment. The Clinical Supervisor plays a crucial role in providing oversight, mentorship, and direction to fellow clinical therapists. As an integral member of the clinical leadership team, this position is essential for fostering effective communication across various teams, ensuring positive interactions with the Executive Leadership Team in initiatives that promote agency growth and development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with program supervisors to ensure the implementation of best practice treatment methodologies.
  • Deliver timely and precise supervision reports in alignment with agency and licensing standards.
  • Guarantee adherence to treatment standards as outlined in contracts or special grants, ensuring timely service delivery and compliance with documentation requirements.
  • Provide direct trauma-informed care tailored to the client's specific treatment needs through individual, family, or group therapy sessions.
  • Advocate for clients and offer assistance as necessary.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychotherapy and therapeutic services, including psychosocial assessments, clinical evaluations, treatment planning, progress documentation, crisis intervention, and discharge planning.
  • Comply with agency protocols, legal obligations, and professional standards.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate entries in clients' electronic health records.
  • Ensure case records are kept in accordance with agency protocols and contractual obligations.
  • Refer clients to additional resources as required.
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.

WORK HOURS AND FLEXIBILITY

This role primarily operates during weekdays; however, occasional evening or weekend commitments may arise to effectively represent the agency. Some flexibility in scheduling is available, provided that agency needs are met.

  • Act as a professional ambassador for the agency both internally and within the broader community.
  • Collaborate with staff members and participate in supervision regarding therapeutic practices and case presentations.
  • Coordinate with external agencies and services as necessary to support client therapy and treatment planning.
  • Establish and nurture positive therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Deliver high-quality services across diverse situations.
  • Adhere to the highest ethical standards.
  • Demonstrate the ability to engage with challenging or ambivalent individuals and families.

PROBLEM SOLVING AND JUDGMENT

  • Exhibit strong analytical skills to assess data and identify trends.
  • Follow established procedures while demonstrating creativity and initiative.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Foster a safe, friendly, and supportive work environment free from harassment or bullying.
  • Manage all aspects of the role, addressing both standard and non-standard situations effectively.

SUPERVISION OF STAFF

  • Oversee the supervision of clinicians and interns directly.
  • Provide high-quality clinical supervision to associate licensed supervisees to meet board requirements for independent licensure.
  • Establish performance standards and monitor compliance.
  • Document any potential concerns regarding performance, discrimination, or harassment.
  • Implement performance improvement plans and corrective actions as necessary.
  • Conduct timely evaluations of subordinates as part of the annual performance review process, based on established goals and responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in behavioral health.
  • Licensed at an independent level in the State of Arizona, in good standing with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AzBBHE).
  • Approved Clinical Supervisor status through the AzBBHE, maintaining compliance with all board requirements.
  • Ability to obtain Fingerprint Clearance and pass a background check if required.
  • Familiarity with community resources.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude, proactive approach, responsiveness, and a strong work ethic.
