Unit Overview:
The Orthopedic unit, situated on the 4th floor, features a 40-bed post-surgical inpatient setting. Each room offers private accommodations with scenic views. Our patients typically undergo elective surgeries such as hip, knee, shoulder, spine, or ankle procedures. Most patients are healthy and eager to recover, often discharging the following day after hip and knee surgeries, while spine patients typically stay for two to three days. We collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, hospitalists, case management, and therapy teams to ensure patient safety and satisfaction, placing the patient at the core of our care model.
Position Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Leader is accountable for assessing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care. This role involves mentoring and facilitating the professional growth of team members while continuously evaluating unit needs to ensure adequate resources for upcoming shifts. Collaboration with both clinical and non-clinical departments is essential for timely admissions, transfers, and discharges. The Clinical Nurse Leader is expected to uphold professionalism and maintain high standards of practice, holding team members accountable for compliance.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in an acute care environment is required; two (2) years is preferred.
Licensure and Certification: Current RN licensure in Arizona and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are mandatory. Additional certifications may be required based on departmental needs.
