Unit Overview:
The Main Operating Room features 14 operating rooms, including specialized rooms for endovascular procedures, open-heart surgeries, and pediatric care. Services offered encompass a wide range of surgical specialties, ensuring comprehensive care for both adult and pediatric patients. The Operating Room is staffed around the clock, with pre-operative holding available during weekdays and on-call services during weekends. The Main PACU is a 24-bed unit, also staffed 24/7, ready to accommodate surgical patients.
Qualifications:
Education: Completion of a nationally-accredited nursing program is required.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in an acute care environment is required; two (2) years is preferred.
Licensure or Certification: Current RN licensure valid in the state of Arizona and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are mandatory. Additional certifications may be required based on departmental needs.
