We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Failure Analysis Engineer to join our Product Quality (PQE) & Failure Analysis Engineering (FAE) Team Lead. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in supporting customer returns, new product introduction, and the continual improvement of our cutting-edge electric vehicle charging products.
Responsibilities- Lead system- and component-level failure analysis with cross-functional teams to support customer field returns, new product introductions, and factory yield excursions.
- Perform laboratory hands-on electrical and physical failure analysis for fault isolation on electronic products, including electrical vehicle supply equipment (EVSE), AC/DC converters, DC/DC converters, PCBA, and cable harness.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify the root cause for issues related to field, manufacturing, supplier quality, and product design.
- Ability to summarize quality data and trends, and to create presentations for all levels of internal audiences from field technicians to executive VPs.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience in electronics / high voltage laboratory environment with a record of driving failure analysis from system- to component-level.
- Hands-on experience with electrical tools and methods such as Digital Multi-meter (DMM), Oscilloscopes, IV Curve Tracers, Signal Analyzer, Power Supplies, Electronic Loads, etc.
- Familiarity with physical failure analysis techniques such as optical microscopy, SEM/EDX, 2D and 3D X-ray, and mechanical cross-sectioning.
