About the Role

As a Medical Assistant at Community Health Centers of the Rutland Region, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced primary care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established medical standards.
  • Perform various lab tests and procedures to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Take and record patients' vital signs, immunization status, and brief medical history.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Observe and record patients' reactions to medications and treatments, and report to physicians as needed.
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling and prioritize patients in emergency situations.

Requirements:

  • Medical Assistant certification or training is a plus.
  • One year of professional experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Lab experience and pediatric experience are highly valued.
