Job Summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with clinical duties, including preparing patients for exams and maintaining examination rooms and equipment.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in infection control and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification or degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical setting, preferably in a physician practice or outpatient clinic.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
