Job Summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structured assessments and treatments based on the plan of care developed by a Physical Therapist.
  • Identify patient reactions to treatments and make recommendations for treatment changes to the Physical Therapist.
  • Document patient information and progress according to policy.
  • Promote communication among team members to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Certified Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
  • Evidence of relevant clinical continuing education in area of expertise.
  • Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Currently licensed in the state of employment.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
Preferred Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Patient and family teaching skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to problem solve complex cases.
  • Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills.
Compensation

Competitive salary range: $33.09 per hour.

Additional compensation for evening, night, and weekend shifts:

  • $4.25 per hour - Evenings
  • $8.00 per hour - Nights
  • $4.75 per hour - Weekends
