Facility Location: The optometry office is conveniently situated adjacent to the hospital, ensuring seamless access for both staff and patients. Our clinical and support teams are highly engaged and committed to providing exceptional care.

Patient Demographics: The optometrist will serve a diverse patient population, ranging from pediatric to geriatric individuals, offering a comprehensive suite of optometric services. These services include the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of various visual system conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited optometry program (OD).
  • Experience: 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Must be licensed by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) and hold a valid license in the State of Vermont. BLS Certification through the American Heart Association is also required.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients from various socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in basic Microsoft desktop applications and navigation.
