Job Overview

Position Summary

VSolvit is in search of a C5I Analyst to provide essential support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division. We are looking for a driven C5I Modernization Specialist to become a vital part of our team. If you are enthusiastic about advancing naval technology and wish to contribute to the defense sector, this role is designed for you. Leverage your expertise to enhance the capabilities of our nation's maritime defense systems and ensure the security of our naval forces.

As with any role, there are additional expectations. These include, but are not limited to, adhering to standard working hours, meeting project deadlines, following company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, maintaining regular communication with supervisors, focusing on assigned tasks, and completing other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize and convey division-level processes and tools to assist in RM&A assessments.
  • Integrate and analyze failure data to evaluate system readiness.
  • Develop and document reliability models and criteria for assessing system failure events.
  • Research and familiarize yourself with Navy systems.
  • Employ readiness assessment tools, including Navy and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions.
  • Learn and execute the established data editing process, which includes data review and extraction & loading.
  • Validate relevant certifications and maturity elements for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor the maturity progress of installation requests.
  • Create project plans to address Surface Warfare alterations for the OFRP of ship life cycles.
  • Conduct objective quality assessments and offer recommendations to improve fleet readiness at both system and platform levels.
  • This position requires the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks. Collaboration with our project team is essential.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • Familiarity with probability theory and its application in reliability, maintainability, and availability (RM&A).
  • Understanding of reliability principles.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a SECRET security clearance
  • Ability to support, communicate, and liaise with U.S. Naval Officers, senior enlisted personnel, and civil service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possession of an Active Secret or interim clearance.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Navy maintenance philosophy or military experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in C5I.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proactive, team-oriented approach with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Familiarity with Navy organization, structure, ship classes, and shipboard systems.
