Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the Ordnance Information System - Marine Corps system, addressing technical challenges that arise on a daily basis.

As a Software Quality Analyst on this initiative, you will collaborate with a team dedicated to enhancing an enterprise application. The capacity to identify, articulate, and resolve technical challenges is vital in every facet of this position.

This role demands robust technical expertise and the capability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks. You will be expected to work in tandem with our project team within an Agile framework to ensure we are delivering optimal solutions for our clients. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a Quality Assurance Tester who enjoys engaging with others and is eager to expand their knowledge and responsibilities.

As with any role, additional expectations are in place. These include, but are not limited to, adhering to standard working hours, meeting project deadlines, complying with company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, maintaining regular communication with assigned supervisors, and remaining focused on designated tasks, including company meetings and completing other assigned duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure quality assurance and quality control for in-house applications.
  • Conduct User Testing of Applications.
  • Analyze software bug reports and pinpoint problematic areas.
  • Identify and rectify system software issues.
  • Provide Testing Status updates, reviews, and analyses to monitor the progress of application fixes.
  • Perform testing that assesses functionality, performance reliability, stability, and compatibility of the web application.
  • Collaborate with developers to enhance software processes.
Essential Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in a QA/Tester role (or equivalent IT experience).
  • Experience in testing mission-critical relational database applications, mobile, and web-based enterprise systems.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to thoroughness and adherence to processes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process quality, and product reliability.
  • Willingness to engage in both new and maintenance projects.
  • Ability to function effectively as part of a team.
  • Communicate clearly with managers and colleagues to ensure understanding of technology usage and any necessary troubleshooting.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
