Job Title: Direct Support Professional

Andrus Childrens Center is seeking a skilled Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, predictable, and therapeutic living environment for children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support children during all cottage-based activities
  • Plan and implement individual and group initiatives to build children's skills and self-esteem
  • Ensure the basic needs of children are met and the cottage is maintained in a safe, orderly, and clean condition
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support

Requirements:

  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred
  • Minimum of HS diploma (or equivalent) plus one year of experience working with children or adults with developmental or behavioral disabilities
  • Computer proficient and navigate Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to utilize ADP app on smartphone or other device for access to agency programs

Working Conditions:

  • Candidates must participate in our Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training
  • Must be able to lift, reach, walk, climb stairs, and bend
