Job Title: Direct Support Professional Weekend

At Andrus Childrens Center, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team on weekends. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, predictable, and therapeutic living environment for children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support children during all cottage-based activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Plan and implement individual and group initiatives to build children's skills and self-esteem.
  • Ensure that the basic needs of children are met, and the cottage is maintained in a safe, orderly, and clean condition.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including recreation therapists, teachers, social workers, and other professionals.

Requirements:

  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred (in-service trainings are mandatory).
  • Minimum of HS diploma (or equivalent) plus one year of experience working with children or adults with developmental or behavioral disabilities.
  • Computer proficient and navigate Microsoft Office suite.
  • Multi-lingual a plus.
  • Driver's license preferred.

Physical/Travel Requirements:

  • Lift, reach, walk, climb stairs, bend.
  • Candidates who are successfully hired, must participate in our Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training which concludes with a written and verbal test.
