Job Title: Direct Support Professional Weekend

At Andrus Childrens Center, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team on a part-time weekend schedule. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, predictable, and therapeutic living environment for children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of each resident, actively supervising them at all times to prevent harm.
  • Participate in scheduled activities with residents, promoting their engagement and participation.
  • Implement the program schedule as written, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
  • Utilize Sanctuary and trauma-sensitive care principles in providing services to residents.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful team environment, promoting open communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred, with mandatory in-service training.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, plus one year of experience working with children or adults with developmental or behavioral disabilities.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Multi-lingual skills a plus.
  • Driver's license preferred.
Physical and Travel Requirements:
  • Lifting, reaching, walking, climbing stairs, and bending.
  • Ability to meet physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation.
