Duvera Consulting LLC is seeking a skilled Real Estate Paralegal with over 4 years of experience to assist in managing residential property transactions. The firm provides legal services to prominent homebuilders across Texas.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of real estate principles and processes. This role includes support from an administrative professional who will collaborate with other attorneys.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Real Estate Specific Duties:

  • Support attorneys in reviewing titles and surveys, and draft initial objections related to these documents.
  • Coordinate property acquisition tasks, ensuring title clearance and tracking critical contract dates.
  • Assist in the preparation of purchase and sale agreements, residential leases, lease amendments, and summaries.
  • Request estimates for redemption, water certifications, zoning certifications, and property inspections.
  • Examine title reports, secure payoff statements, and resolve any title-related issues.
  • File real estate and corporate documents through county and state electronic filing systems.
  • Manage post-closing documentation, including UCCs, satisfactions, and releases.
  • Compile and organize closing binders.
  • Retrieve recorded instruments from property records across various jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate exhibits and schedules; finalize transaction documents.
  • Facilitate closings and ensure all signatures are obtained.
  • Oversee the preparation of closing binders with the assistance of support staff.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Experience with Interwoven - IManage/FileSite/WorkSite and EDGAR is preferred.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, including advanced functions like redlining and document comparison.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook for email management and group scheduling.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Expertise in Adobe Acrobat for document organization and editing.
  • Good to expert level skills in Interwoven for document management.
  • Familiarity with Coyote is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Westlaw for legal research.
