Position Overview

The Central Life Sciences (CLS) division of Central Garden & Pet focuses on enhancing the health, welfare, and safety of companion animals, agricultural animals, plants, stored grains, and the environment. We are currently in search of a Client Relations Specialist to collaborate with our sales team in providing exceptional service to assigned accounts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate successful order processing from receipt to delivery, ensuring smooth operations through accounts receivable.
  • Act as the primary liaison for assigned accounts within the organization.
  • Manage return authorizations in coordination with clients.
  • Oversee and implement Sales/Marketing initiatives, pricing strategies, and distribution guidelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels in relation to customer demand and communicate updates regarding shipment status, pricing confirmations, and product availability.
  • Investigate and resolve client claims and complaints, maintaining thorough documentation.
  • Handle customer deductions and maintain financial records.
  • Create and maintain accurate customer profiles and address records.
  • Support sales efforts through account management, client visits, and accounts receivable tasks.
  • Provide sales assistance, including customer communication, order tracking, inventory updates, and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate monthly performance assessments for key accounts.
  • Contribute to the development of process improvements tailored to customer and departmental needs.
  • Utilize problem-solving and time management skills to exceed client expectations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of three years of experience in complex client service roles is required.
  • Proficiency in SAP or ERP systems is preferred, along with strong skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional decision-making and prioritization abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability.
  • A customer-centric approach and a collaborative team spirit.
  • Experience with quality management programs is a plus.
  • A background in manufacturing is preferred.
